De Acaena Blue Haze wordt ook wel het Stekelnootje genoemd, deze bodembedekkende rotsplant heeft blauw/grijze blaadjes en is goed wintergroen. De Acaena heeft een onopvallende bloeiwijze en krijgt in het najaar stekelachtige vruchten.
